Female Positive Energy, a round-table talk gathering female netizens, internet celebrities and positive-energy people on the Internet was held on July 31 in Beijing.
The activity was co-organized by the Publicity Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the Bureau of Social Work of the Cyberspace Administration of China and co-hosted by the Internet Information and Communication Center of the ACWF, Beijing Express Hand Technology Co., Ltd, and GSDATA.CN. Its purpose was to publicize women's positive energy in the communication network and build up the image of women's positive self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement.
At the site of the activity, Liang Qingping, CEO of GSDATA.CN, portrayed women netizens by data analysis to introduce their characteristics, their social roles and their influence on network ecology.
Ma Yan, researcher at the Women's Studies Institute of China, said that the whole society should renew the recognition of women's ability, role, power and status according to current social developments.
At the round table forum, professionals, scholars and representatives of the positive-energy people on the Internet, expressed their ideas. When discussing how women use the internet to start a business, Xi Yue, founder and CEO of a famous female inspirational speech video platform, said that more information, social media, job opportunities and positive energy would make women find their values on the network.
How to better integrate women into the network society in the new era? Zheng Lifen, researcher at the Center for the Study of Chinese Women's Culture of Capital Normal University, put forward the idea that the common female netizens should maintain their rational judgment and not believe in or spread rumors; while internet celebrities should help promote positive energy actively.
